Please Read! (Re: Submissions guidelines)

Dear writers,

We greatly appreciate you submitting your work to us. HOWEVER, a lot of you have not followed our submission guidelines. Please be aware if you don’t follow the guidelines, your submission will be deleted unread. This includes titling your submission properly. Please put “SUBMISSION – YOUR TITLE HERE” in the subject. If you do not include your title, the submission will not be opened. This makes the submission process easier on everyone. We hope you understand. 

If you would like to REsubmit to us because you didn’t submit correctly, feel free to do so. We send a confirmation email after each submission. If it has been a few days and you haven’t received one, it is probably because you didn’t follow the submission guidelines. This includes sending us work that does not fall into the categories requested on our submissions page.

Flash Fiction: Are you out there?

Hi all! 

We are in desperate need of some flash fiction (or drabble!) for our first issue. If you have any flash fiction pieces you were thinking about submitting, please do so TODAY! We will be publishing our first issue this week and would like to include some flash fiction!

A Few Clarifications!

Hello all! We’ve had a couple of questions asked about what we are looking for and when so here is a little clarification for you all.

First, we wanted to clarify what kinds of writing we are after. We are after Young Adult or New Adult. This doesn’t mean we won’t accept other kinds of work, but these are our preferences. As far as genre of YA or NA, we accept ALL genres INCLUDING paranormal romance, science fiction and fantasy. We like Sarah Dessen, Sara Zarr, Megan McCafferty and the like, but we also love imaginative stories that come from speculative fiction.

The second thing we’d like to clarify is the deadline for submissions! We accept submissions on a rolling basis. We hope to post once a week but understand that we are just starting out so we will be posting when we have enough submissions of quality work. We’d like to begin posting within the next two weeks so please send sooner rather than later if you’d like to be considered for the first issue.
